$150 for 2 hours, or $200 for four hours. If you’d like to book a captain for your boat rental, please call or email us so we can verify captain’s availability.
Boat Rental Policies & Procedures
Rates above do not include tax. All riders will be required to sign a waiver. Maximum of two operators per boat, must be 25 to operate and will be required to show a valid drivers license. Boaters license is required for anyone born after January 1, 1982. If you do not have a boaters license you may acquire one online, or we can give you a temporary license upon successful completion of a short exam for free. A $500 security hold will be required at check in. No dogs on boats. Renters will be fully responsible for any damage to boat. Boats will be inspected when returned and any damage or cleaning fees will come out of the $500 security deposit. All trash must be removed before you check out. If boat is left excessively dirty/sandy, customers will be charged a $150 cleaning fee. Due to weight limits every person regardless of age counts as a passenger. No alcohol for operators. Boats are restricted to a specific area that Harbor Yak will review with renters during their boating safety and usage instruction prior to each rental. This area is half a mile out from shore in between walnut beach and lakeshore park. PFD’s will be provided for all passengers. Any child under 10 years of age is required by Ohio law to wear PFD at all times. No fishing from these boats, we will be getting a boat specifically for fishing soon. NO SMOKING ON BOATS. If any evidence of smoking is found, a $250 fine will be applied to credit card on file.
Cancellation Policy
Listen, we are human and we understand things come up, and plans can change. If you need to reschedule your reservation we are willing to work with you. Cancellations made less than 3 days in advance will receive an 85% refund, however if its weather related, a full refund will be provided. **Any weather related cancellations/re-schedules will be up to Harbor Yak only. If inclement weather arises, Harbor Yak will contact you within 2 hours of your scheduled rental time, and re-book your rental. We watch the weather constantly and we will be in communication with you the day before if we are expecting weather to be an issue. No shows will not be refunded.
